Ben & Cosmos - fingering

Ben & Cosmos are both now six years old and are part of the foundation of the Tuuli flock.

“Since your visit, Ms. 140 has decided that she is definitely a people sheep, following us around a bit.” I smiled at this note accompanying some logistics for my purchase of a certain Border Leicester x Cheviot ewe. Cosmos has since lost that eartag #140, but her kind and gentle demeanor continues to radiate calm over the whole flock.

Ben is the first ram I picked out for my flock. I visited half a dozen farms until I found him, and I knew he was the one. Halter trained from his preparation as a show lamb for the Tunbridge World’s Fair, Ben is a gentle, loving soul – though yes, I am careful to watch where he is to make sure he minds his manners. But any more, he simply comes up for a hug, and I get to check the growth progress of his lovely gray fleece. Ben is a Romney cross, with that wavy longwool quality.

New this year, the Ben & Cosmos blend is spun into fingering weight yarn. In addition to this change, if you have Ben or Cosmos yarn from the past, please note the colors of the skeins will be different as their fleeces lighten up somewhat each year.
