Citroën doesn’t grow a lot of wool, but what she does grow is a gorgeous crimpy brown-gray that spins into wonderfully squishy, plush yarn. I appreciate Citroën’s mellow temperament in the flock. She is half Finnsheep with the balance in Cormo and Merino.
Edsel was born to Citroën in 2021. His dad Ben’s Romney influence comes through in the length of his wool, as he grows lovely long locks of crimpy wool, like an extended version of Citroën’s.
Ghibli is Citroën’s grandlamb and Edsel’s niece (daughter of Echo, Edsel’s twin). She inherited the family’s crimpy gray wool, though not their affectionate nature as she prefers to keep her distance from me.
This yarn blend is also available in this year’s Tuuli Twist, plied with Citroën’s grandlamb Harmony. This is a great opportunity to make a project with some of the unique aspects of the twist along with this matching gray.
